Hi! This is us!

We officially formed our cooperative in spring 2020 and we just haven’t been able to get together for a fancy photo shoot yet because of you know why.

So until that day comes (hopefully soon) we can all guess what Chris is holding.

We are

Ceara Lornie UX content strategist, content editor and writer, web publisher

Chris LaVigne e-commerce, security and SEO specialist, trainer

Elisabeth Bond Creative director, branding and marketing specialist

Aimée van Drimmelen Senior designer and UX design lead, illustrator

Our story

Weaver creates outstanding user-friendly digital experiences that help businesses and organizations connect with their audiences, innovate and grow.

After working together on various jobs over the years, we decided to weave our talents together into one business that can meet all of our clients’ needs. We chose a worker cooperative model because it aligns with our values of social, ecological and digital sustainability.

Our members combine creative design, digital strategy and full-stack web development and serve a variety of clients, including the B.C. government and a wide range of non-profit, public and private sector clients. With over 15 years’ experience working on digital projects, we innately understand the complex needs of users on both sides of service delivery—in front of the screen and behind it.

Realize Strategies

Co-ops are autonomous organizations of people who are united to realize their social and cultural needs through jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprises

Weaver respectfully acknowledges that we live and work on the unceded territories of the Lekwungen speaking peoples.

We strive to be a part of the pathway to reconciliation by learning more from and connecting with our local indigenous communities, supporting their initiatives and amplifying their stories.

"Yeah but what do you actually do?"

In our first year of business we have started a donations program to support Indigenous-led initiatives and groups that help in the fight for Indigenous rights, sovereignty and healing. This includes:

One of the cooperative principles we have chosen to adopt is that of diversity, equality and inclusion. We acknowledge that we are a team who are of white European ancestry and have benefited from privileges and access to opportunities that others have not.

One way we hope to honour this principle as we move forward is by providing mentorship and job opportunities to those who are less represented in the design and development fields in our communities including Black, Indigenous, and other people of colour, and workers with disabilities.
