Nice to meet you...

Thank you for visiting us! We are a group of hard working individuals who decided to join forces in 2020 and weave our talents together into one business that can meet all of our clients' needs. We chose a worker cooperative model because it aligns with our values of social, ecological and digital sustainability.

Ceara Lornie is our UX content strategist, content editor and writer, web publisher

Chris LaVigne is our lead developer

Elisabeth Bond is our creative director, branding and marketing specialist

Aimée van Drimmelen is our senior designer and UX design lead

Our members combine creative design, digital strategy and full-stack web development and serve a variety of clients, including a wide range of non-profit, public and private sector clients. With over 15 years' experience working on digital projects, we innately understand the complex needs of users on both sides of service delivery—in front of the screen and behind it.

We look forward to hearing more about your project!

Co-ops are autonomous organizations of people who are united to realize their social and cultural needs through jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprises

The co-op way

Co-ops around the world operate under a set of shared principles that unite us, and push us to be better actors in our communities. We often refer to these principles when making business decisions, as they help us stay connected to our core values and put them into action.

  1. Voluntary and open membership
  2. Democratic member control
  3. Members' economic participation
  4. Autonomy and independence
  5. Education, training and information
  6. Cooperation among cooperatives
  7. Concern for community

Acknowledgements

Weaver respectfully acknowledges that we live and work on the unceded territories of the Lekwungen speaking peoples.

We strive to be a part of the pathway to reconciliation by learning more from and connecting with our local indigenous communities, supporting their initiatives and amplifying their stories.

As a first step, we donate to the following Indigenous initiatives and groups fighting for Indigenous rights, sovereignty and justice…

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

One of the emerging cooperative principles we have chosen to adopt is that of diversity, equity and inclusion. We acknowledge that we are a team who are of white European ancestry and have benefited from privileges and access to opportunities that others have not.

One way we hope to honour this principle as we move forward is by providing mentorship and job opportunities to those who are less represented in the design and development fields in our communities including Black, Indigenous, and other people of colour, and workers with disabilities. If you are reading this and are interested in learning more or working together please drop us a line!
